Joann Scott Memorial Scholarship
The Delaware Association of Insurance Agents & Brokers (DAIAB) is accepting applications for its annual Joann Scott Memorial Scholarships. The $1,500 scholarships are awarded to two college-bound students planning to enroll as first-year students at an accredited college or university in the Fall 2011 semester or full-time undergraduate or graduate students. Joann Scott is remembered for her dedication to the association, especially her introduction of the internationally designated Accredited Customer Service Representative program to Delaware agents, which makes it appropriate that this scholarship is dedicated to her achievements. Interested students should use the following information to submit their application for consideration. Students currently enrolled as full-time undergraduate or graduate students, as well as individuals planning to enroll as first-year students in the Fall 2011 semester. Applicants must be Delaware residents and carry a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Past scholarship recipients cannot re-apply. Scholarship candidates must complete and return the application accompanied by a certified copy of their high school or college transcript and a 100-word essay written on one of the following topics:

Scholarship winners will be announced in March and contacted by the president of DAIAB.
