Pennsylvania Compliance Pitfalls:

How to Avoid Costly Fines and Penalties

Attend an upcoming IA&B Compliance Pitfalls seminar to ensure your agency is not hit with enforcement action that can cost you time and money.

Many agencies in Pennsylvania find themselves facing enforcement action because they are not compliant with state insurance laws and regulations - don't be one of them. IA&B has developed a truly outstanding seminar to help teach agencies about Pennsylvania law and regulation to PREVENT enforcement action.

For 2010, IA&B will conduct another series of these programs, for those that missed it the first time around.

Members who attended last year's session had this to say about the program:

"Excellent Course!  Thank you for making this information available in a concise and easy to understand format. This should be a mandatory course for all agencies!"

"As an agent it is imperative to attend this seminar to understand that compliance is not just the agency's responsibility. It is the producers responsibility as well."

Attend this program to learn the top violations enforced repeatedly by the Insurance Department - and most importantly, what you need to do about these regulations - so you don't face penalties or, worse yet, lose your license.  Topics include:

  • Improper commingling and handling of premium funds
  • Failure to report administrative actions and criminal charges, e.g. DUI's
  • Non-genuine signatures on applications
  • Misrepresentation on license applications and renewals
  • Inappropriate fee charging

Other compliance subjects that will be highlighted include: rebating and inducements, referral fees and privacy.
