As noted in the Pennsylvania requirements, a one-hour training course is required prior to any sale, solicitation or negotiation of a Qualified Partnership Policy. A self study packet for this requirement is part of the Long-Term Care Insurance Partnership program. Complete instructions on how to fulfill this requirement will be provided following registration.
CE Guidelines
This seminar format is considered self-study or correspondence study. Maryland resident license holders can earn only one-half (1/2) of CE requirement in this format each renewal period. There is no self-study limit in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
The Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware Insurance Department requires participants to successfully complete a 25 multiple question exam in order to earn CE credits for this type of seminar format. (PA residents: In addition, your exam must be proctored by a disinterested third party. A disinterested third party must be someone other than a relative or supervisor. This information will be collected during the online exam process.)
Participants must successfully pass (70% or better) the examination following each course to earn continuing education.
Upon completion of the exam, the participant will immediately receive exam results via e-mail. If the participant successfully completes the exam, the e-mail will serve as the course completion certificate. If the participant does not successfully complete the exam, instructions will be provided.
Credit approvals are subject to re-evaluation by state insurance departments.
