Professional Development Was Never This Much Fun!Nearly 220 independent agents, CSRs and company personnel mixed business with pleasure at DAIAB's 54th annual convention, June 8-9 in Rehoboth Beach, Del. NetworkingThe convention kicked off on Wednesday with networking opportunities on the Kings Creek Country Club greens, a local kayaking eco-tour and a Lewes day trip. That evening attendees took part in the Sponsor Welcome Reception at Nassau Valley Vineyards. EducationOn Thursday, attendees chose one of two educational tracks: The first, geared to agency executive management, offered social media strategies taught by industry expert Mike Wise; the second included CE-approved courses taught by Bettye Buffington and Jerry Milton. Peer RecognitionThursday also featured the awards luncheon where David Krenkel of Donegal Insurance Group and John Yasik of Poland & Sullivan were lauded for their contributions to the association and the Delaware insurance community. Anthony Johnston and Alexandra Schwartz, recipients of the Joann Scott Memorial Scholarship were also in attendance.
