Workers' Comp coverage in NY & OH
What does this mean to you?
New York
Effective Sept. 9, 2007, all out-of-state employers are required to carry a full, statutory New York State workers' compensation insurance policy, even for incidental employment.
Ohio
Effective Sep. 11, 2008, Ohio enacted changes to its Workers' Compensation law whereby employers doing incidental business in OH are no longer exempt from OH WC law. As a result, out-of-state employers who perform work in OH, even on a temporary basis, must have OH coverage for these employees.
