PA Political Action Center

IA&B has a constant presence in Harrisburg, monitoring legislation that affects independent agents, and advancing laws that benefit our members. In 2010, our government affairs staff focused on increasing minimum auto limits and helped to successfully topple legislation that would have allowed for specific amounts of non-economic damages. In 2011, we continued to work on minimum auto limits, tort reform, increased flexibility in workers’ compensation coverage, certificates of insurance and simplifying the state’s surplus lines market. We continue to work to ensure that the role of independent agents is preserved in the new health care reform law.   

AgentPAC of Pennsylvania

AgentPAC is the most proactive and effective tool you have to get involved in the political process. A contribution to AgentPAC is the way you can personally make a difference. In 2011, we reached our annual fundraising goal of $35,000 thanks to the generous support of engaged agents. In 2012, we expect to do even better. If more licensed agents step up (even with smaller contributions), we will more than double our 2011 fundraising goal. Please consider making a contribution to AgentPAC of Pennsylvania today.

You can also elect to make an automatic quarterly pledge. Provide us with your credit card information and we’ll make equal quarterly deductions until you tell us otherwise. To set up your quarterly payment, call the IA&B Member Service Center at 800-998-9644, and select option 1.
