Sept. 30, 2009 – Independent insurance agency owners are invited to attend a perpetuation-themed executive management conference Oct. 27-28 in Lancaster, Pa. Insurance Agents & Brokers Service Group is hosting MarshBerry to facilitate the inaugural event.

“By and large, agency owners are baby boomers who are facing challenges related to retirement,” said Kathleen Glattly, IA&B Service Group Chairwoman. “They have built a career on doing the right things and now need to carry that through to a strong perpetuation plan, but so many of them don’t know where to begin.”

MarshBerry representatives will guide conference participants through the succession-planning process. Topics include financial benchmarks; strategies for new producer recruitment and retention; and employee leadership development.

The conference, titled “Perpetuation is in your hands – positioning and planning for your agency’s future,” will be held at the Lancaster Eden Resort. More information is available by visiting www.iabgroup.com or by calling (800) 998-9644, option 0.
