March 8, 2010 — Fifty Delaware and Pennsylvania insurance agents attended a national legislative conference March 3-4 in Washington, D.C. They met with each member of Delaware’s Congressional delegation and 19 of Pennsylvania’s 21 members.
“It was a great opportunity for our members to represent their local communities,” said Kathleen Glattly, chairwoman of the Insurance Agents & Brokers Service Group, which oversees the Delaware and Pennsylvania associations of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America. “The issues we discussed will affect homeowners and business owners throughout the region.”
The annual event brought together hundreds of agents from across the country who advocated on insurance issues, including health care reform, federal insurance regulation, taxes, crop insurance and flood insurance reform. It was sponsored by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America and organized in part by affiliate Insurance Agents & Brokers.
