SEWICKLEY, Pa. (June 22, 2010) – Twenty-four area youth golfers on June 22 competed at the Diamond Run Golf Club in a regional qualifying tournament for the 42nd Trusted Choice Big “I” National Championship. Eight players advanced to the state tournament at the Penn National Golf Club in Fayetteville, Pa., on July 8.

Statewide trade association Insurance Agents & Brokers hosts the regional and state qualifiers. Winners from the state tournament will advance to the national tournament in Chesterfield, N.J., on July 27-30.

The Trusted Choice Big "I" National Championship draws 4,000 participants each year. Past competitors include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Charlie Howell, Grace Park and Cristie Kerr.
