Oct. 26, 2010 – Mid-Atlantic insurance producers have a new resource for reviewing and comparing carrier performance. Insurance Agents & Brokers released its 2010 Company Satisfaction Index results.
The biennial survey of members' company experiences provides a benchmark. Agents use the results when considering new appointments, comparing their experiences and meeting with clients. Carriers use them to evaluate their performance.
The survey allows IA&B members to rate their satisfaction level with their top carriers' products, pricing and underwriting; policy service and claims; agency/company relationship; and technology.
"Overall and on average, carriers continued to show modest improvements," reported Dave Rosenkilde, chairman of the IA&B Service Group. "But when we separated the carriers by footprint and direct premium written, those operating in 11 to 34 states received the most favorable results."
Participants registered their highest level of satisfaction with the following carriers.
Commercial lines:
MMG
Mutual Benefit
Eastern Alliance
Goodville Mutual
Selective
Personal lines:
MMG
Penn National
Goodville Mutual
Mutual Benefit
Donegal
