April 15, 2010 – Fifty Delaware and Pennsylvania insurance agents attended a national legislative conference April 13-14 in Washington, D.C. They met with Delaware's complete Congressional delegation and 15 of Pennsylvania's 19 representatives, as well as Sens. Bob Casey's and Pat Toomey's staff.
"It was a great opportunity for our members to represent their local communities," said Dave Rosenkilde, chairman of the Insurance Agents & Brokers Service Group (IA&B), which oversees the Delaware and Pennsylvania associations of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big "I"). "The issues we discussed will affect homeowners and business owners throughout the region."
The annual event brought together over a thousand agents from across the country who advocated on insurance issues, including health care reform, federal insurance regulation and flood insurance reform. It was sponsored by the Big "I" and organized in part by affiliate IA&B.
