Maryland producers find ounce of prevention online

Feb. 28, 2012 — Maryland producers can avoid thousands of dollars in fines and penalties — not to mention countless headaches — by spending $75 on prevention education. Insurance Agents & Brokers' recently launched on-demand Compliance Pitfalls and Ethical Responsibilities seminar shares the state's eight most violated insurance laws and regulations and how to remain compliant.
The Maryland Insurance Administration's Compliance and Enforcement Section vetted the seminar, which covers premium funds, fees, rebates and privacy, among others.

While the on-demand format replicates a live classroom by incorporating instructor audio and video and even allowing for questions, it also enables participants to take the seminar at their own pace wherever, whenever they would like.
