Delaware, Pennsylvania insurance agents attend national conference,
meet with legislators

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – Forty Delaware and Pennsylvania insurance agents traveled to Washington, D.C. with Insurance Agents & Brokers to meet with Sen. Tom Carper, Sen. Arlen Specter and other legislators on April 3. The event was part of the annual Big “I” Legislative Conference & Convention.

“It was a great opportunity for agents to represent their local communities,” said Kevin Nemith, chairman of the IA&B Service Group. “The insurance issues we discussed will affect homeowners and business owners throughout the region.”

The event brought together hundreds of agents from across the country to advocate on insurance issues, including regulating, licensing and flood coverage. It was sponsored by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America and organized in part by affiliate Insurance Agents & Brokers.
