Insurance Agents Offer College Scholarship

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Delaware Association of Insurance Agents & Brokers Inc. announces a call for applicants for the annual Joann Scott Memorial Scholarship. The $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to one college or college-bound student.
“Joann was an active board member of our association,” said John Yasik, chairman of the Delaware Association of Insurance Agents & Brokers Inc. “She was particularly committed to furthering the education of agents, which is why it’s so appropriate that we give this scholarship in her name each year.”
Delaware residents who are planning to enroll as a full-time, first-year student at an accredited college or university and current undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply. A 3.0 or higher grade-point average is required. The application deadline is Jan. 31.
Scott was employed by Kinnamon Taylor & Dawes, of Wilmington, Del. Through her work with the Delaware association, she introduced the internationally designated Accredited Customer Service Representative program to Delaware agents.
